Ceramidone® is a branched ester of L-PCA, a physiological skin molecule. L-PCA is obtained by the cyclization of L-glutamic acid, an amino acid from plant origin.

Action mechanism
The bi-lipidic structure of Ceramidone®, close to that of cutaneous ceramides, gives it, through biomimicry, an activity on the restructuring of the cutaneous barrier. It protects and reinforces cellular cohesion by:
• Activation of cellular differentiation
• Stimulation of epidermal lipid synthesis
• Reinforcement of intercellular cement
