BlueShield® is an eco-friendly vegetal fraction rich in capsanthin and its esters, specific and very active carotenoids. It is obtained from the cold pressing of red bell peppers and stabilized with vegetal glycerin and xanthan gum. Action mechanism
BlueShield® protects the skin from the 2 major deleterious effects of blue light, namely photo-oxidation and photoreceptors disruption. In practice:
• Thanks to its strong antioxidant power, BlueShield® specifically protects cellular DNA and collagen from oxidation and degradation
• Thanks to its superprotective filtering power, BlueShield® protects skin’s photoreceptors (opsins) from stress.
By preserving the skin’s vital functions related to DNA, the Extracellular Matrix and phototransduction, a mechanism that governs pigmentation and circadian rhythms, among other things, BlueShield® helps prevent and correct skin aging induced by digital pollution.
