Solabia and Interscience have announced a partnership to develop new solutions in microbiology.
The two French companies, specialized in the development and manufacture of solutions for microbiological analysis, are joining their respective skills and expertise to offer innovative approaches. Biokar Diagnostics division of Solabia Group offers unique expertise in research, formulation and production of culture media. Solabia is one of the few companies in the sector to have mastered production of peptones – the main ingredient in culture media – right through to the production and marketing of its products for laboratories.
Interscience offers a comprehensive range of equipment for microbiological analysis, from sample collection through to the final bacterial analysis. Interscience has gained importance in the global microbiology market, notably thanks to the performance of its automatic end-point and real-time colony counters. Solutions such as Scan AI and ScanStation guarantee accurate, rapid, digitalized and traceable results for all analyses of hygiene indicators and pathogens carried out on Petri dishes.
This highly complementary partnership between Solabia and Interscience helps to enhance traditional culture methods, thereby improving the efficiency and performance of rapidly evolving industrial microbiology laboratories.
Interscience’s solutions, combining advanced imaging with artificial intelligence, herald a new era for the conventional and alternative culture media developed by Biokar Diagnostics. This synergy between culture-based microbiology and intelligent neural network technology delivers a smoother, more cost-effective and reproducible user experience, while ensuring the microbiological safety of industrial products and, consequently, of the consumer.
“By combining our respective expertise with the power of artificial intelligence tools, we enable our customers to obtain results more quickly and achieve unrivalled reproducibility in the analysis of Petri dishes,” said François Pointurier, Head of Solabia’s Diagnostics Business Unit.
Jules Jalenques, co-CEO of Interscience, continues: we are working together to shape the future of microbiology and our portfolio of solutions, particularly through artificial intelligence technologies, which are already a reality and featured in our Scan AI colony counters.”
