BioActor is a company within Solabia Nutrition that develops healthy and innovative ingredients in the food supplement industry. She joins the Solabia group (head office in Paris).
For our establishment in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Senior researcher with strong motivation to support Solabia Nutrition’s current and future research. This is a non-remote role.
What will be your mission?
You will be in charge of :
- Trial delivery & oversight. Accountable for robust feasibility processes and oversight of trials. Responsible for start-up, execution and monitoring of trials in assigned area(s)
- Master study designs and protocols trough ethics approval processes
- Excel in data collection and analysis (SPSS)
- Write study reports and scientific articles
- Liaise with scientific advisers and partners
- Present results at (inter)national conferences
- People management: Provide line management to your team including goal setting, performance evaluation and talent development
- Responsible for grant administration and GDPR compliance for Solabia Nutrition R&D
- Empower your team to think out of the box. Ensure inspection readiness at all times, adherence to ICH-GCP, local legislation and relevant SOP’s.
- Evaluate and forecast resource needs and manage your team’s workload.
- Support your team in site engagement, in issue resolution and stakeholder management.
- Continuous improvement & organizational change: Lead implementation of innovation and inspire change in the local organization; Cultivate an environment that encourages shared learning, out of the box thinking and a “Yes we can!”-mentality.
- Contribute to the development of new processes or improvement initiatives. Keep close oversight of metrics and drive follow-up actions proactively.
- Participates in special (global) initiatives as assigned. May assume additional responsibilities or special initiatives such as ‘Champion’ or ‘Subject Matter Expert’.
About the role
The applicant will lead the local R&D team in charge of clinical trials for the Nutrition business unit. Reporting to the Global R&D Director, he/she will manage a team of local clinical researchers with a strong focus on trial delivery of clinical studies related to healthy ageing and active living. He/she will be responsible for the successful execution of trials from feasibility through study close-out while keeping clear oversight of quality & performance indicators, timelines, and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and local regulatory requirements.
What profile are we looking for?
- MSc in Nutrition and Health, Biomedical Sciences or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of Clinical Research experience in the life science industry, a CRO or investigational site. Higher degrees are a plus. Other relevant working experiences and skills may be considered.
- Perfect command of English (spoken and written).
- Knowledge of local GCP regulations (BROK certificate) would be a plus.
- Knowledge of in vitro research would be a plus.
- Proficiency in Dutch and French is a plus.
- Experience with clinical studies with excellent scientific writing skills.
- Skilled in leading and developing people. Ability to champion team productivity and cohesiveness and install a feedback-culture.
- Solid decision-making and effective issue resolution skills.
- Flexible mindset and ability to work in a constantly evolving environment with the ability to collaborate and handle multiple priorities in a matrix environment.
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills. Willingness to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
