Waxidone® is an optimized combination of the lauric (I) and behenic (II) ester of L-PCA, the physiological molecule of the skin. L-PCA is obtained by the cyclization of L-glutamic acid, an amino acid from plant origin.

Action mechanism
Due to its waxy structure and its soft touch, Waxidone® is perfectly suited to the formulation of lipsticks providing with softness, shine and emollience. It also increases the breaking point of lipsticks and compact foundations, and gives a non-greasy satin feel to lipophilic formulas.
